OpenEARTH 2024 will take place from 26 to 28 November in the beautiful city of Rethymnon, Crete.
Rethymnon, known for its rich history and multicultural heritage, offers a unique blend of Venetian, Ottoman, and Greek influences. With its picturesque old town, charming narrow streets, and the famous Fortezza castle overlooking the sea, Rethymnon provides the perfect backdrop for an inspiring scientific exchange. The Conference will be held at the Institute for Mediterranean Studies (Nikiforou Foka 130 & Melissinou), located in a historic building that is a testament to the city’s academic and cultural legacy. Participants will have the opportunity to gather in this prestigious setting to explore and discuss critical issues related to climate change adaptation and mitigation in the primary and secondary sectors.
