A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on September, 7^th, by the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Costas Tsiaras, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas, Professor Nektarios Tavernarakis, and the First Vice President of the Hellenic Agricultural Organization-DIMITRA (ELGO-DIMITRA), Professor Nektarios Vidakis.

The MoU aims to promote innovation, technology, knowledge dissemination, and advisory services in all sectors of the agri-food chain.

The MoU targets include:

• The development of joint research programs, in areas of mutual interest, to promote science and research.
• The enhancement of research work and products in the agri-food sector.
• The promotion of both parties’ contribution to the development of individual communities specialized in the agri-food sector at local, regional, national, and European levels.
• Organization of relative joint scientific events, conferences, seminars, meetings, workshops, and training activities to promote the results of scientific research, initiatives, and technological applications.
