The Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH) and its Biomedical Research Institute based in Ioannina, organized an Open Event, on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 for the presentation of the new construction project of the Institute's new building on the Campus of the University of Ioannina, and the signing of the Contract with the Contractor.

The event took place on the premises of the Technology Park of the University of Ioannina. This important development project, that was co-financed by the Recovery Fund and the European Investment Bank, through the National Public Investment Program, is expected to play a decisive role in the development of the Institute and will contribute to the research and university education in the Region of Epirus.

Official addresses were given by the Minister of Development, Mr. Kostantinos Skrekas, the Deputy Minister of Development, Mr. Maximos Senetakis, the Regional Governor of Epirus, Mr. Alexandros Kachrimanis the Vice Mayor of the Municipality of Ioannina, Ms. Sofia Markoula, the General Secretary for Research and Innovation, Prof. Athanasios Kyriazis, along with the Rector of the University of Ioannina, pProf. Anna Batistatou.
