An important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Science and Technology Park of Crete (STEP-C) of the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH) and the «Primorski tehnološki park» (Technology Park of Slovenia) in the context of 'EUSAIR POPRI youth' initiative.

The 5-year 2.5 million euros “MicroBioPest” program will implement multidisciplinary approaches to discover microbial and natural product-based biopesticides originating from highly variable Mediterranean microbial environments.

The 4th annual "Nicholas Kylafis" Distinguished Lecture, entitled "When black holes affect galaxies", was given by Professor Françoise Combes, Chair of Galaxies and Cosmology at the Collège de France and distinguished astrophysicist at Paris Observatory, on Thursday 6 October 2022 at 14.00 at the Central Amphitheatre of FORTH, with simultaneous webcast.

A year after the death of Mikis Theodorakis on September 2, 2021, the Crete University Press, the Institute of Astrophysics of FORTH and the French Institute of Greece organized the event "The sky in science, music, and literature " which took place in Heraklion on Friday September 9 at the "Experimental Stage" of the Cultural Conference Center of Heraklion.
