A year after the death of Mikis Theodorakis on September 2, 2021, the Crete University Press, the Institute of Astrophysics of FORTH and the French Institute of Greece organized the event "The sky in science, music, and literature " which took place in Heraklion on Friday September 9 at the "Experimental Stage" of the Cultural Conference Center of Heraklion.

Prof. Savvas Christoforidis, Research Director at the Biomedical Research Institute of FORTH, was elected Director of the Institute on June 18th, 2022 by a seven-member Evaluation Committee appointed by the Ministry of Development and Investments, chaired by Professor Efthimios Kaxiras, Department of Physics, University of Harvard.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Foundation for Research & Technology-HELLAS (FORTH) and the Technical University of Crete (TUC)
