TWISTER Network will hold a meeting on "Broadband services for healthcare in rural regions, evaluation and perspectives" in the Healthcare Centre of Haraka Asteroussion on November 8th, 2006

During the meeting there will be a presentation on the new technologies used in the Healthcare Centre of Haraka Asteroussion and its regional clinics. In particular, the following network services will be presented:

1. Electronic health files
2. Distance learning for the continuous training of the medical staff or distance counselling for the improvement of response time in emergency incidents, in cooperation with the National Centre for Emergency Care (Department of Crete) and the SIZEFXIS network
3. Electronic documentation
4. Use of eHealth technologies for second medical opinion

The meeting will also include the presentation of indexes monitoring, the adoption of new technologies as well as evaluation data on the application of the common electronic record between the Health Centre and its Regional Clinics.
