The Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences (ICEHT) of the Foundation for Research & Technology-Hellas, has undertaken the organization of the International Conference "10th IFAC Conference on Foundations of System Biology in Engineering", acronymed FOSBE 2024, at the DIVANI CORFU PALACE Hotel in Corfu, from 8 to 11 September 2024.

The scientific coordinator of the project is Dr. Maria Klapa, Director of Research at ICEHT.

The FOSBE Conference series is dedicated to the use of systems engineering, mathematical modelling, process principles and approaches, and automatic control in biology. The interdisciplinary field of Systems Biology has evolved dramatically in recent years, using computational methodologies, including big data analysis and machine learning, to address complex problems in many areas of biological applications, taking advantage of technological advances that enable the acquisition of large amounts of measurements from multi-scale biosystems, ranging from large-scale bioreactor assemblies to single cells. During the conference, developments in these technical fields and application areas will be discussed, as well as the means of training a new generation of researchers with the appropriate skills to contribute to this interdisciplinary environment and the avenues for international collaboration and funding opportunities to support these developments from basic to applied research.

The Conference will include invited talks, oral and poster presentations, and the invited speakers will be internationally renowned, high-profile scientists-researchers.
