The 6^th annual Nick Kylafis Distinguished Lecture will be given for 2024 by the distinguished astrophysicist David Spergel, President of the Simons Foundation and Charles A. Young Professor of Astronomy Emeritus at Princeton University (USA). Moreover, from 2016 until 2021 Professor Spergel was the founding Director of the Center for Computational Astrophysics of the Flatiron Institute in New York, which is supported by the Simons Foundation.

The 18th EAI International Conference on Pervasive Computing Technologies for Healthcare will take place at the facilities of FORTH in Heraklion, Crete from 17 to 18 September 2024, with the active participation and co-organization of the Institute of Computer Science of FORTH, and the Center for Research & Technology Hellas.

The Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences of the Foundation for Research & Technology-Hellas, is organizing the International Conference "10th IFAC Conference on Foundations of System Biology in Engineering", acronymed FOSBE 2024, at the DIVANI CORFU PALACE Hotel in Corfu, from 8 to 11 September 2024.

Two ERC Starting Grants totaling approximately 3 million euros, were awarded to Dr. Anna Sydorenko and Dr. Konstantina Kalfa, post-doctoral researchers at the Institute for Mediterranean Studies of the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH).

The Summer School took place at the premises of FORTH at Heraklion, Crete, Greece, from July 22^nd to August 2^nd 2024
