The «14th Scientific Retreat», of the Foundation for Research & Technology - Hellas (FORTH) will take place from the afternoon on Friday October 11 to noon on Sunday October 13 2024, at the Conference Center of the International Olympic Academy, next to the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. On an Olympic year, FORTH selects Ancient Olympia to hold its Retreat, underlining its dedication to science and research as part of the Greek culture and heritage.

The Retreat will include a scientific program with a poster session, an open to the public social event and a tour to the archaeological site and the Museum of Ancient Olympia. A more detailed program outline will be announced in July. Traditionally, FORTH Retreats are organized every two years, with the main objective to provide the framework for fruitful interactions between the research labs and personnel of FORTH, giving them the opportunity to present their work through oral but mainly poster presentations, entertain synergies and discuss organizational matters of the Institution, as they bring together colleagues from ten Institutes and eight cities of Greece. Furthermore, through the open social event, FORTH aims at showcasing its research achievements and Impact at the national and international level.
